Philosophy of Change
Aspects of Change
Example 1
The transition from

years in medical
school.
Reacting change
While I was in my
preclinical year of
medical school my
daily routine in short
was just getting out
of bed and spending
about 5-6 hours in the
lecture hall then the
whole day on chill
mode.
Framing Change
The process of
transition from
preclinical and
clinical years is
surrounded by a lot of
challenges.
As time passed I

Managing Change
I took the opinions of
my seniors first,
searched on the
internet about ways
to manage my
situation, and did
some brainstorming.
In the end, I came up
with a lot of ideas. I
made a schedule and
tried to stick with it.
I wrote about the
chores I had to
perform in a day. It
started from my sleep
routine, eating habits,
exercise timings,
even the cups of
coffee to be
consumed, avoiding
unrequired
entertainment and
parties, etc. Making a
schedule is easy but
to act upon it: is a
tough job. It took me
almost a month to
practice over and
over. Eventually, I
improved my focus
and made this routine
a habit.

myself with positive

of my peers affected
me a lot and it took a
long time to make
this lifestyle a part of

While leaving my
hometown, it felt like
leaving my comfort
zone forever. I got
irritated by small
things and was scared
of shifting all my

was important to
spend more and more
time learning and
practicing things in
order to sharpen my
reflexes and shape
my skills in a better
way.
Managing Change
It is hard to leave
your place and settle
somewhere else. I
understood my
problems and most of
them were just
because I was afraid
of leaving my friends
from childhood. Then
I realized the better
education at a better
institute and fulfilled
my dreams: all was
getting possible here.
Realization is very
important. (Tomas,
Morato, 1) It is
essential to be true to
yourself and know
what matters to you
the most.
I decided to visit the
neighborhood and
make new friends.
Explored the new
places and parks,
trying new foods and
coffee points.
For me, the war was
friend’s vs dreams? I
held this to fulfill my
dreams and now was
the time. I took the
opportunity, focused
on my ideas, and
decided to get back to
my friends once a
month.
Once you realize that
it becomes easier to

get accustomed to
wherever you want:
be like water
(Moonray, 2).
Managing Change
In both situations, I worked well with analyzing my needs and acted accordingly. My
situation dealt with accepting the change that has affected my present and is likely to have an
impact on my future. As you age, you mature by your mind and attitude. Age enhances your
responsibilities to yourself. At this particular time of life, you need focus and concentration to
fulfill your dreams and lead a better life. Once you are determined, you can get accustomed to
whatever container you want like water. My biggest advice to readers about the philosophy of
change is “Avoid unnecessary intimacies, be untroubled” (Hall, 3).
One has to pass through several stages of change. The important thing is the management
at any stage. Before planning any management plan for my problem I have to deal with
complaining behavior. It takes a lot of time and effort to get rid of it. In the future, I would try
not to complain about the situation but to find a solution and accept my fault.
