According to Heidegger, the true breakthrough that was essential to the
development of contemporary science was not the observation of natural
phenomena but rather the mathematical prediction of such phenomena.
To put it more simply, scientists were able to carry out tests because, to
the best of their knowledge, they had a world space that was neutral in
which to carry them out and, as a result, maintain predictions that are
unaffected by external circumstances.
It is also important to emphasize that there are a variety of perspectives,
some of which are in direct opposition to one another, regarding the
