Discussion Assignment on Transformational Leadership
Transformational leadership is an applicable concept in all aspects of life. It is a
leadership pattern in which figureheads empower, inspire, and motivate personnel to develop and
generate transformation, which will benefit the company and shape its continued success. This is
achieved by executives leading by example by fostering a powerful perception of organizational
culture, employee participation, and autonomy. Transformational leadership can be applied to
any sector, such as health care services, education, and governmental organizations. These
leaders are typically cheerful, optimistic, and dedicated. Not only are these figureheads
concerned and engaged in the process, but they are also committed to ensuring that every group
member succeeds.
This leadership style consists of various components. The first aspect is intellectual
stimulation. It not only challenges the power structure; it also encourages followers to be
creative. The leader inspires adherents to try new things and take advantage of new learning
opportunities. Another crucial component is individualized considerations. Providing
encouragement and support to team members is also part of transformational leadership.
Transformational leaders keep communication paths transparent such that adherents feel free to
share concepts to nurture healthy relationships. This concept enables the figureheads to
acknowledge each follower’s outstanding contributions directly. Another crucial component is
inspirational motivation. Transformational leaders have a definite objective that they can
communicate to their followers. These figureheads can also assist their followers to feel the same
enthusiasm and dedication to achieve their goals. The last component is Idealized Influence.
Transformational leaders serve as mentors for their adherents. Since adherent’s honor and trust

There are several pros of transformational leadership. First, it establishes strong
relationships. Transformational leaders understand that to develop a substantial business; one
must first develop solid and healthy relationships. All significant associations are built on open
and genuine information exchange. Developing relationships within a team aid in the reduction
of internal disputes and the development of unique talents within the team. They also aid in
eliminating unhealthy relationships and the promotion of team unity. Another positive effect is
that it serves as an ideal influence. Transformational leaders design the behavioral patterns they
would like their teams to exhibit. The leader walks the walk and earns their team members’
confidence and commitment. These leaders quickly understand the team’s requirements and
assist them in achieving their goals with gratification, which, on a broader level, boosts the
business’s economic expansion.
Another advantage is that it helps bring enthusiasm and motivation into being.
Transformational leaders are also adept at identifying and evaluating gaps in an organization’s
purpose and developing a new one when necessary. Their charisma assists them in
communicating this mission statement to their team members and gaining their support. We’ve
all heard that enthusiasm is highly infectious. Transformational leaders are typically enthusiastic
and optimistic, and as a result, they have the same beneficial impact on those around them. They
encourage the employees through their actions and effective communication. Communication
skills and the capabilities to inspire others to go hand in hand. Employee engagement is limited
by poor communication. It also encourages learning and stimulates creativity. Transformational
leaders encourage their workers to keep getting better by providing opportunities to overcome
challenges. They assist their team members in discovering their expertise by pushing them
outside of their comfort zone (Khan et al., 2020). When a worker’s growth becomes unsteady, it

directly impacts the company’s growth. To help their team members grow steadily, the leaders
keep them involved in their tasks and open to different learning opportunities.
Since transformational leaders can encourage individuals to attain unforeseen or
astounding performance, organizational leaders must be transformed through being well
informed of their workers. After they have received training, it gives them independence over
particular jobs and the power to make decisions. The leaders can also enhance a team’s wellbeing and ambition standard via outstanding relationships.
