Criteria for Selecting Physical Devices
To implement a network, we need proper criteria while selecting physical devices. I
ensure the coexistence of other wireless protocols. To maximize the dependability of
measurement data, it is necessary to ensure coexistence in the traffic-heavy RF environment in
which we live. To keep away from the overlap with the common Wi-Fi channels and to make
sure reliable coexistence between the two protocols, we can use channels “15 and 20 for 802”.
The other factor I considered is a better understanding of measurement requirements. According
to this, I have to consider the requirement of the sample rate of the signals for the measurement
devices. Also, the power requirement is also an important factor. (Oppenheimer., 2010)
Technical Goal
I choose network security as a technical goal. This goal consists of an analysis of security
risks in a network. Here I take a scenario of using the camera and security surveillance devices in
any organization. Optical fiber cables are the media device I used in this scenario. Optical fiber
cables are the emerged primary connectivity devices. These are used for transmitting highquality digital and analog signals over the network. I9 used the optical fiber cable as the
preferred media device in this scenario because it offers the maximum bandwidth performance as
compared to other media types. Optical fiber cables use a dielectric transmission medium that is
not vulnerable to radiofrequency and electromagnetic fields. It provides data safety as it does not
radiate the signals, and tapping the cable is also very difficult. There are the best secure media
devices. Also, fiber optics cable is safe to handle as there is no involvement of high voltage. The

installation of fiber optics cable is easy. Fiber optics cable is lightweight, thin, and durable as
compared to other cables. (Canavan, 2001)
