I present my application for the BSW program. I believe that social work is the best course
for my passion in social justice ethics fundamental work; it offers suppleness and
compactness; helps heal and solve problems; to makes the world a better place. Many social
workers enter the field due to personal involvement. The following are some of the qualities
that would impact my practice. I am empathetic, identifying with and understanding other
people’s experiences and perspectives.
I am an effective communicator, my ability to organize, apply critical thinking, active
listening skills would be instrumental in the practice. I have patience, and I practice self-care;
I am culturally competent, impacting my interactions. Given the opportunity, I expect to gain
through social work education, a promise to corporation and participation with workers in
rising services to meet their requirements; a commitment to evaluating practice as a means of
expanding it; an acknowledgment that the operative’s use of self is essential to social work
action.
Personally and professionally, I plan to learn how to impact positively. Social workers listen
to individuals’ needs, from children to individuals struggling with obsessions, and help them

Problem statement
There are challenges that most social workers face, including deficiency, violence,
and discernment, and still, pick the field since they intend to use those involvements to make
a change in others’ lives. I hope as a social worker to help relatives improve associations and
deal with problematic situations such as separation, disease, or death by guiding families over
the therapy process by assisting them to identify difficulties, set objectives and find solutions
to their issues.
Social Work is all about consideration and motivation to improve people’s lives in
civilization. Social employees are introduced to cases that focus on violence, drug abuse,
isolation, inequality, and more. With knowledgeable, appropriate, and well-trained social
workers across the country have developed strategies to deal with these problems, but many
challenges remain. Experiencing client frustration, doubt, lack of confidence, discipline, and
motivation are widespread.
Such factors pose significant challenges to social workers because they lead unwilling
clients into poor communication with social workers. Poverty, unemployment, opportunities
for inequality, discrimination, and malnutrition are social ills and substandard housing, job
discrimination, and child abuse and neglect. Lawbreaking and drug misuse are also instances
of communal ills.
Among the most challenging things about a social worker, occupation are factors such
as the emotive pressure that comes with seeing the injustice of inequality and abuse, the test

of working with clients who are at risk and deprived, the stress and physical wounds that
often escort work and incapability to fix such issues.
Part 2: Future Plans
While the primary function of social work is to improve human welfare and help meet
all individual’s fundamental and multifaceted needs, I am inclined to explore my future
options along with two areas of social work, particular focus on those at risk, oppressed, and
living in poverty.
Mental Health Social Worker
As a social worker, I hope to explore the area of mental health; as a social worker, I
hope to play an essential role in improving the community’s overall health and mental health
by diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental, behavioral, and emotional problems. I
understand that mental-health professionals empower people with mental illness and their
families, caregivers, and communities to live productive, independent lives.
Homewood health center is a top Canadian agency that helps improve people’s lives
in the community by delivering highly specialized care. Homewood Health Centre offers
technical, unique, and national programs in scope. Renowned Treatment. Clinical Experts.
Private & Discreet would be a perfect fit for me as I seek to scale new mental health social
work heights. My skills as a social worker would be critical in supporting people and their
relatives through tough times and safeguarding that vulnerable people, including children and
the elderly, are protected from harm. My role would help advance individuals’ lives with
expertise to maintain working relations and serve as director and lawyer.
Child and Family Social Worker
Another area of concern is children and family; as a social worker, I intend to play an
essential role in their societies by linking families who need help with facilities and

monitoring the welfare of vulnerable children. Social workers assist with exploitation and
neglect of investigations and help put children in a safe place. Social work may be a
gratifying career, but this perspective will vary from person to person.
Native Child and Family Services Toronto offer services in this time of crisis, a toprated agency that provides safety for children and families, an agency that seeks to ensure that
every child is safe. It would be a perfect fit for my passion, and I am looking forward to
exploring opportunities along those lines. My roles as a social worker include disaster
management and empowerment and advocacy roles, empowering communities by
encouraging individuals to play a more significant role in determining social facilities,
offering education programs, and enabling long-term financial freedom—an added advantage
to the agency.
Part 3: Knowledge and Skills
Self-awareness: My skills in identifying and labeling personal feelings would be critical to
the agency with knowledge of where my emotional state end and those of the clients begin. I
can identify and admit areas of vulnerability and unsettled issues. I comprehend personal
morals and their effect on the psychotherapy relationship and identify and accomplish the
inner discourse
Professional attitude: My professionalism examines empathy, disrespect, honesty, and
respect for others. I communicate effectively and empathetically with other workers, faculty,
staff, clients, and professionals.
Critical thinking: As a practitioner, I empirically assess each case by assembling information
through reflection, consultations, and investigation. Taking advantage of my critical thinking
without bias enables me to make informed choices, identify the best resources and formulate
the best plan to assist clients

Communication skills: As a social worker, I communicate with clients daily to gain info,
convey critical info, and make crucial decisions. Without honest communication aids, I may
not gain or share that info as a social worker, thereby causing harmful impacts to clients.
Practice skills: I ensure that I am open, honest, reliable, and fair in my practice while
respecting and maintaining individual dignity and privacy. At the same time, uphold
professional relations with people and ensure that they understand the role of a social worker
in their lives.
Administration skills: I possess skills in preparation, establishing, management, decisionmaking, specialist, and communication, indispensable elements of the administrative process.
In other establishments, the purposes will be different, but the goals are always people’s
development as a whole.
Special training: In my particular training program, I have expertise in providing services to
at-risk youth and helping families navigate difficult situations such as accessing childcare
facilities or housing; community service in child and family services would be appropriate.

Self-care is an essential skill in surviving social work. Self-care means activities and
processes that we can regularly engage in to reduce stress and maintain and improve our
short-term or long-term health and well-being. The following steps will come in handy taking
breaks is an essential aspect of refreshing, setting goals is another important step in self-care
and learning to say no. Creating a support system that promotes self-café is essential as one
tries to connect with their emotions while practicing mindfulness.
What additional training would you recommend to be more qualified for a job in the field
Additional training, workshops, and symposiums are the most common ways to improve on
social service work. Although to enter the field of public service, a degree in social sciences
is required. Employers also hire employees with a degree in social sciences or psychology,
depending on the type of work, which may be part of the social support system.
What is the impact of social service work on individuals and societies?
Social work is a professional and educational work of art and personality that seeks to benefit
the well-being of communities, communities, and individuals”. Social work is relief work,
and its primary goal is to improve the well-being of society as a whole, especially for the
helpless.
What are three transferable skills necessary for a social worker?
Some of the essential transferable skills include being an active listener, having social

members of the 4korners organization on the impact of social service work and the
organization’s approach in ensuring access to social services. The board of director Salinda
Hess offers some insights on the value of 4korners in society, and the head of education
provides essential links to the organization’s work.
What if any steps would you include in your future planning due to the interview?
Having gotten the opportunity to interact with the 4korners organization’s head of education,
I intend to do an email thanking her for interacting with her and seek a follow-up meeting
that will explore the opportunity of her being a mentor.
