A. Background
keep up with the times that develop and there are always new changes, making
the emergence of new policies for the welfare of the community. Indonesia is a state of
law, so every existing policy must have a law and when it will be implemented it must
be in accordance with the law. The people in Indonesia must obey the laws in Indonesia,
all movements of the people in Indonesia are supervised by the law, including their
work. The work copyright law is a law that regulates the work of the Indonesian people,
but many people strongly reject this work copyright law. The law is claimed to have
damaged workers’ rights and neglected aspects of environmental protection, especially
from the trade union side.

Omnibus Law as a new legal product from the government
Jokowi in this second period needs to be studied more deeply because a law that is valid
but still gets opposition from the public proves a people who have a crisis of trust and
lack of government legitimacy in running the government. Various versions of draft
laws that are spread in the community can reduce the credibility of the performance of
state legislature officials. From the point of view of the sociology of law, of course, a law
that is already valid and has been completed is considered unfinished before the conflict
between the people and the government is resolved.
C. Thinking Framework
This study tries to find out why the work copyright bill is still the pros and cons in
society.
D. Hypothesis
The existence of an omnibus law demo, because of the people’s rejection of the
omnibus law that could harm the workers. Without listening to the rejection of many
people, the government even passed the omnibus law.

–
B. Research Method

Because this study discusses a past phenomenon, namely the omnibus law demo that
has existed since last August 2019, until now the problem has not been solved/resolved
properly.

omnibus law demonstration, totaling around 1,548 students, 796 anarchist groups, 55

people in the demonstration were Manik Marganamahendra (Chairman of BEM UI),
Muhammad Atiatul Muqtadir (Chairman of BEM UGM), and Royyan A Dzakiy (President
of the ITB Student Family).
D. Data collection techniques
This research was conducted using statistical data collection techniques,
because this research was taken from some information/data that was already
available.
E. Data Analysis Techniques
This study uses descriptive data analysis techniques, because the research
only describes some of the data that we have collected.
