Unit V Journal
Editing and refining my literature review has been a positive experience. Other than
rearranging the paper’s flow and including a few additional details from my sources, I used no
special approaches. I also had to work on my thesis, which was supposed to be written at the end
of the introduction. I had to rewrite my paper so that the introduction came before the literature
review. In addition, I had to rearrange the paper and indicate the pro and con sides of the
controversy surrounding my topic since it was supposed to be arranged that way. My work had a
few grammatical and sentence problems, so I just read it over and over again to make sure it
sounded correct. Starting from the beginning, I made the necessary edits throughout my paper.
This, I feel, aided my focus and prevented me from stumbling through the paper. Notably, I had
issues with my citations where I did not indicate the author and also with indenting the reference
page. However, I made the necessary corrections. I realized that with the writing center website
open, one can easily get APA formatting instructions. In future before submitting my final work,
I will double-check my citations and grammar.
