Week 2 disc 1
1. What mobile applications in health care do you think are and will become most
valuable in day-to-day practice?
There are over 30,000 medical and health apps available in this world and I think that
Telehealth will become one of the most treasured mobile applications in our everyday
use. Telehealth gives us access to remote delivery of medical care and depending on the
issue, telehealth may be the answer for most non-emergency concerns. Examples of this
type ofapplication include Secure messaging, Telephone calls, and video conferencing
with your doctor. Telehealth apps allow you can receive remote healthcare services from
a doctor without the hassle of having to go into an actual doctor’s office. I believe due to
the current pandemic we are experiencing with Covid-19, telehealth has already made a
dramatic impact in many patients’ and physicians’ lives.
2. What are your thoughts on these new applications and others you have read
about in your text or learned about in practice?
The constant evolvement in apps is allowing many patients to discuss many of their
medical concerns with their providers remotely. I think that these new applications are
very beneficial not just for emergency circumstances but our everyday medical concerns.
I believe that with the assistance of apps, we can make healthy changes easier with the
number of information apps bring to our fingertips. For example, health and medical apps
can provide patients with dieting options and exercise regimens as well as alarms with set
schedules for
reminders on when to take prescribed medications and information on those medications.
Overall, I would recommend using these new applications and I believe we can only
benefit from the advancement in our technology and health.

3. Any you would want on your favorites list?`
Telehealth app is my favorite app to use, only because I am familiar with using it. I love
how simple it is to navigate through the app and find the information I need to see
without any extra detours or hassles.
